The Past:

In 1919, in the midst of unsettled conditions, Benito Mussolini, a former revolutionary socialist, founded a new movement called "Fascismo". Through a combination of shrewd political maneuvering and widespread violence perpetrated by Mussolini's Black Shirt squads, the Fascists gained increasing support. In October 1922, after the Fascists had marched on Rome, King Victor Emmanuel III named Mussolini Prime Minister. Within four years, Mussolini had become a dictator, destroying civil liberties, outlawing all other political parties, and imposing a totalitarian regime on the country by means of terror and constitutional subversion. Public works projects, propaganda, militarism, and the appearance of order gained Mussolini considerable prestige. The purge of leaders and groups opposed to Mussolini's Fascists views followed. Mussolini held a wide measure of popularity. Mussolini's Fascists government lead to the rise of Hitler in the 1930's. Which in turn lead to the Second World War.

The stated goal of the Fascist was,

1. Replace a constitutional monarchy with a dictatorship.
2. Destroy all the Democracies
3. Kill all the Jews.
4. Establish a new world order based on their particular twisted view of reality.

The Present:

In 1979, in the midst of unsettled conditions the Iranian Revolution took place and transformed a constitutional monarchy, under the Shah into a theocratic Islamic Republic under the rule of Ayatollah Khomeini. Through a combination of shrewd political maneuvering and widespread violence perpetrated by Ayatollah Khomeini the Islamic Republic was encouraged by enthusiastic popular demonstrations in formerly modern Iran. Within four years, Khomeini had become a dictator, destroying civil liberties, outlawing all other political parties, and imposing a totalitarian regime on the country. The Iranian revolution was divided into two stages. The first stage saw an alliance of socialist and religious groups. The second stage saw the consolidation of power and suppression of liberty. The purge of leaders and groups opposed to Khomeini's theocracy followed.

The stated goal of the Islamic theocratic Fascist is,

1. Replace a constitutional monarchy with a dictatorship.
2. Kill all the Jews.
3. Destroy all the Democracies
4. Establish a new world order based on their particular twisted view of reality.

The future:

This will lead to the Third World War. The outcome of that war is uncertain. What is certain is that a lot of good and well meaning people will die. As this becomes more and more obvious to everyone it will be harder and harder to fix. I'm not the first to see this and I won't be the last. I've just tried to put it into simple enough terms that anyone should be able to discern the similarities.
